Acquisition of Ignas Jonynas Collection by the Central Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR

Ignas Jonynas’ documents were given to the Manuscript Department of the Central Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR in 1959. According to Erika Kuliešienė, the historian V. Merkys, a student of Jonynas, persuaded his relatives to give the collection to the library. This was the beginning of the collection.
In 1960, Petkevičiūtė-Labanauskienė, a researcher in the Manuscript Department, sorted and described the Jonynas collection. It was only partly accessible; only scholars from the Academy could use documents in the collection.

Transfer of documents of the Latvian Soviet Writers' Union to the Latvian State Archive

Documents about the Latvian Soviet Writers' Union were first transferred to the Latvian State Archive in 1960 (documents from 1944 to 1951). Afterwards, documents from later years were transferred periodically, in 1965, 1967, 1971, 1979, 1985 and 1997.

Under the Constitution of Socialist Republic of Croatia in 1963, the new territorial division of Socialist Republic of Croatia was introduced. The Vinkovci Municipality with its surroundings was established on that occasion. The Assembly of Vinkovci Municipality founded the Commission on Religious Matters, whose activities are recorded in its collection, which is a part of the Vinkovci Municipal Assembly archival fund.
