The second exhibition of the “Special Collection” at NAMU took place in 2015. Apart from the paintings in the main exposition, 98 additional artworks were shown. This exhibition required six years of preparation, as the paintings to be displayed were unreeled, restored, and researched. Because of ongoing research, the catalogue could not be printed at that time.

They have also participated in large numbers of exhibitions, a majority of which dealt with the legacy of Stasi archival records. These photographs were put in an album by the KGB in the 1970s, thus forming the collection. After 1989, the ex-KGB officer took the album away and kept it privately. In 2015, he took the album to the researcher, and the researcher passed it to the Institute’s Manuscript Department. In 2016, a few photographs in this collection were sent to the project coordinators for the project’s internet site.

After years of uncertain funding, the situation of Artpool Art Research Center was finally settled. The archive material of Artpool was made part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in November 2015. According to plan, the collection compiled by Júlia Klaniczay and György Galántai will form part of the Central European Research Institute for Art History (KEMKI), to be set up within the framework of the Liget Budapest Project in the National Museum Restoration and Storage Centre (OMRRK) in 2018. The earliest section of the Artpool collection, created between 1965 and 1991, entered state ownership thanks to the Hungarian National Bank’s (MNB) Depository Programme. The material accumulated since 1992 was given by the founders to the Museum.
